Alive and Kicking

I'm sorry again for not updating, but the internet is basically nonexistant at the Carlton. I hope that it will be better at the beginning of April, when the Carlton buys new bandwidth for the month. I am at school right now so I can't write much, but I'll give you a very quick update.

I went to the airshow at the Avalon Airport, and new pictures will follow on Flickr when I get the chance. On the way back from the airshow, the train I was on ran into a car that was on the tracks. Nobody was injured, but I'll leave you intrigued. The next day, I went to watch some world-class water polo at the 12th FINA World Championships. I'll tell you what teams played and what the scores were when I have some more time. I can tell you now that Japan played, and they played horribly. It's okay though, it was a capital effort. After water polo, I met Lindsay (the girl on the plane ride here) in Melbourne completely by accident. Strange, the way that works.

Hopefully I can elaborate soon, but I just wanted to let you all know that, I, contrary to popular belief, am not dead.

Thank goodness you finally made contact with us again. I was just getting ready to lead a search party to find you. Of course we would have started at the nude beaches of the Gold Coast....the last place I would have looked was the water polo championships.

Train wrecks, air shows, and water polo. What a weekend. What happened to the person/people in the car that was hit?

Did you get the package YET? There are many ways for you to let us know you are ok, please be better at using them.

Love you. Dad

Well Marc, sure gives me the warm and fuzzies knowing that you were in a TRAIN ACCIDENT! You make it sound as though it was no big deal. I want you to have an exciting time in Australia but that’s going a little too far! We were getting a wee bit concerned since we hadn’t heard from you in a while. We figured that you were busy with school work. Dad said it all about keeping in touch. That goes double for me.

We can’t wait to hear more about your adventures this past weekend. Pictures would be nice too but if you are having trouble with the internet I know that it will be hard for you to post the pictures. We do really enjoy them and I want to see YOU! I bet you need a haircut.

Love and miss you very much. Tavel safely.

Marc... happy to hear all is good, although your mention of a train wreck has us all concerned, but at least you are all right! Can't wait to hear the story! When do you go on your Easter break? Hopefully you are not going by train, ;) I'm with your Mom, it would be nice to see a picture of YOU -- so if you can't post other pictures at least post a few of you! Good to see your entries again!!
